The most common A16LET failures are turbocharger solenoid valve (wastegate) sticking, which triggers P0234/P0299 fault codes and causes power loss; lambda sensor wiring corrosion on pre-2011 models; and timing belt failure if the 60,000-mile/6-year interval is missed.
