What are cookies-
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help us make the Platform work, remember your choices, and understand how visitors interact with our pages.
Cookies are not viruses or spyware. They cannot access your hard drive or personal information that you haven't already provided. Most cookies are session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain for a set period).
We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixel tags - but for simplicity, we refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy.
Types of cookies we use
We classify cookies into the following categories. The tables below list the specific cookies currently used on the Engines Market Platform.

If we ever introduce advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy, notify you via our cookie banner, and require explicit consent before placing any such cookies.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services we use. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies.
| Third party | Purpose | How to opt out |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Website analytics (performance cookies) | Use our cookie banner to reject analytics cookies, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. |

Consent and how to manage cookies
4.1 Our cookie consent banner
When you first visit our Platform, a cookie banner will appear. The banner allows you to:
- Accept all cookies (strictly necessary + performance + functional - we do not have targeting cookies).
- Reject non-essential cookies (accept only strictly necessary).
- Customise your preferences (choose which categories to accept).
Your preference is stored in the cookie_consent cookie. You can change your preference at any time
by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
4.2 Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time by:
- Clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer and adjusting your settings.
- Clearing your browser cookies (this will reset your preference).
- Changing your browser settings to block cookies (see section 4.3 below).
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

- Block all cookies (including strictly necessary ones) - but note that our Platform may not function properly.

How long do cookies stay on my device-
The duration varies by cookie (see the “Duration” column in the tables above):
- Session cookies - deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies - remain for a set period (e.g., 30 days, 12 months, 2 years) unless you delete them manually.
You can delete all cookies stored on your device at any time via your browser settings.
Changes to this Cookie Policy

- Minor changes (e.g., adding a new strictly necessary cookie) will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
